General

We expect you to arrive on Sunday 10 August and to depart on Wednesday afternoon 13 August unless you register other arrival/departure times. The conference will start on Monday 11 August at 08:00 sharp and close on Wednesday afternoon 13 August at around 12:00.

Sufficient spare time has been set aside for informal contacts and meetings.
 

Location

The conference will be held at the Fårö kursgård camp on Fårö, an island just north of Gotland. The amateur radio station SL1HF card shows the location.


Transportation

Visby on Gotland can be reached from the Swedish mainland with car ferry from Oskarshamn and Nynäshamn (about 3 hours) and by air from Stockholm/Arlanda and probably other airports (less than 1 hour). Direct flight from international airports may be possible. The Travel info page will be updated with transportation details.


Bus shuttle

Late afternoon departures from Visby harbour/airport on Sunday; first departure from the camp on Wednesday afternoon. This round-trip transportation Visby harbour/airport - Fårö is included in the conference fee. Public buses are also available.
 

Accommodation

Lodging is slightly primitive, but has lately been improved considerably. Due to the limited number of rooms, participants should be prepared to share quarters. You will receive bed linen but you are asked to make up your beds yourselves. Leisure wear is appropriate at all times.


Family quarters

Some Family quarters are available and Family members/Companions are welcome. A nominal charge will be made for these to be paid on location and for stays on adjoining days. Please note that Swedish VAT has to be paid by all participants according to tax regulations.


Prices are, full board and lodging, including VAT, excluding Conference Banquet on Tuesday evening:
Adults, age 15+:       SEK 800 per day
Children, age 10-14:  SEK 400 per day
Children, age 4-9:     SEK 200 per day

Children, age 0-3:     Free of charge
Conference Banquet:
Children, 4-14 years: SEK 225
Companions, 15- years: SEK 550


The normal full conference stay will be counted as 3 days in total.
Price deduction (SEK 14500-1500=13000 +VAT) for use of own caravan (no quarters reserved) can be arranged, please e-mail your request to info(at)nordichf.org, and select Invoice payment when registering to participate at HF 25.

Exhibition

There will be an exhibition inside and outside. For information, please contact the HF 25 Conference Secrtariat (see below).  
 

Internet

Internet (WiFi) will be available.
 

Amateur radio

There will be an amateur radio station, SL1HF, where you will be very welcome.
 

Conference fee

The fee of SEK 18125 including VAT (or Discounted fee is SEK 6250 including VAT, only for students or emeriti paying out of their own pockets) includes all conference costs, full board and lodging from Sunday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon. Please note that Swedish VAT has to be paid by all participants according to tax regulations. Reservations will be allocated in order of receipt of payment. Registering as participant without family members, some will have to share rooms, an excellent way to meet new friends.


Scholarship

Some HF 25 scholarship awards may be to the disposal of the Organising Committee.


Confirmation of registration and invoicing

Confirmation of credit card selected payment is automatic by e-mail. Payment by invoice is automatic as well but all invoicing will not begin until week 26 (June 27-) 2025.

Please pay board and lodging for family members and weekend stays at the Fårö camp office not later than 12 August 2025. Credit cards (Visa, Master Card and others, but not AMEX and Diners) are accepted, payment in SEK. Bank facilities and cash point are available in nearby Fårösund. Cancellation

Provided that cancellation notice is received 14 days prior to the event, 10 % of the conference fee has to be paid. For later cancellations, the full fee has to be paid. However, participants may be substituted at no extra cost.
